Lois Lee (Holder) Reese Wall, 72, of Colbert, Okla., was born at home on Dec. 26, 1936, in Bryan County, Okla., to Walter T. and Gladys Irene (Turpen) Holder and died on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, in Denison, Texas.

Lois attended and graduated from Colbert Public School and Grayson County College and worked as a nurse for 29 years until her retirement when she became a full-time rancher. She married Gene Ivan Wall on Jan. 25, 2002, in Colbert. She is a member of the Colbert Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and known as “Nurse Nanny” on 4-H and Girl Scout trips and campouts. She is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and dearly loved her.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Walter T. and Gladys (Turpen) Holder; infant, Cindy Lee Reese; two sisters; and one brother.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are, her loving and devoted husband, Gene Wall of the home; beloved sons, Steven Edward Reese and wife Juanita of Colbert, Okla., and Rickie Lee Reese and wife Cindy of Colbert, Okla.; loving sisters and brother Mildred Stanglin and husband Max of Colbert, Okla., and Sally Westberry and husband Al of Colbert, Okla., and Frank Holder and wife Carol of Colbert, Okla.; six adored grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and host of dear and loved friends.

A celebration of life for Lois will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Colbert Methodist Church. Rev. Gloria McGee Denton and Rev. Roger Speers will officiate. Interment will be in the Holder Family Cemetery at the Garden of Memories with Trevor Cole, Steven Reese, Dakota Reese, Wayne Westberry, Cecil Baker and Larry Smith serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Childers, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Colbert Methodist Church today from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
