Alves appeal dropped

The appeal for the eligibility of Durant quarterback Daryn Alves’ was dropped by Alves’ parents today. Because the OSSAA’s ruling last week works retroactively, it means that Alves was ineligible for all games he participated in with the Lions. Durant forfeits four wins and is officialy 0-10 on the season.

Now, waiting to hear Simeroth explain about how everything was done to make sure the boy was eligible at the beginning of the season.....the only thing that could make this more embarrassing would be if Durant had actually 'won' the Ardmore game.

So, will this community demonstrate their respect for rules and fairness and discipline all who had a hand in this blatant attempt to cheat in the name of a winning football season? Will the OSAA put sanctions on the entire athletic department of Durant Schools? There are many more questions and facts to be explored in this incident, who will ask them?
