George was born on Jan. 20, 1935, in Woodville to George and Lillie Belle (Rogers) Lasiter. He attended the Kingston schools growing up. George married Hazel Marie (Boyd) in Gainesville, Texas, in 1956. He retired as a truck driver over 40 years on the road and moved back to Marshall County in 2001 from Moore. George was of the Baptist faith, and he enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Woodrow, Honey, Jackson, and Garland; three half brothers Cleve, Babe, and Doc; and two half sisters Martha and Lucy.
Survivors include his wife Hazel of the home, son Mark Lasiter of Durant, sisters Maudene Adwell and Betty Burnell of Kingston.
A family hour will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, from 2–3 p.m. at the Brown's Funeral Chapel in Madill.
