No surprise on the district pairing for the area’s two Class 2A teams. Colbert has been assigned to Colbert, which is scheduled to begin Feb. 19. The regional sub-site will be at Colbert.
In Class 3A, Kingston will travel to Tishomingo for its playoff assignment. The Regional sub-site for that district will be at Plainview.
Youth Baseball Meeting
Durant’s summer baseball organization will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Durant High School Commons. Current board members are stepping down, and a new board will be selected at Saturday’s meeting. The organization administrates over the youth baseball teams that participate in Durant over the spring and summer.
It is strongly encouraged that all interested parents, coaches, and people in the community to attend. The summer baseball program serves more than 900 kids. Sign-ups for players will likely begin in late February.
