NORMAN — The No. 9 Sooners were swept in a home stand by rival No. 7 Texas, losing the final game of the series 9-3 Saturday.

Oklahoma fell to 22-6 overall and 3-4 in the Big 12, while Texas improved to 21-7 and 7-2 in the Big 12.

The Sooners trailed 6-0 entering the bottom of the fourth inning when Durant freshman Max White put them on the board with a two-run home run.

The Sooners were being no-hit through three innings before Garrett Buechele broke up it up with a single in front of White’s homer. It was the fifth home run of the season for White who made his 12 start. White has started on the infield, outfield, and on Saturday, was the designated hitter.

Oklahoma will be back in action against another top-15 opponent for the next game, traveling to play No. 12 TCU Tuesday.
