Lou Ellen Dawson, 89 years of age, passed away May 23, 2010, in Texarkana, Texas. She was born in New Boston, Texas, to James and Gladys Gregg.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Dawson.

She is survived by sons John of McLean, Virginia, Don and wife, Cheryl of Fairview, North Carolina, and Bill and wife, Laura of Grand Prairie; one sister, Betty and husband, Tim Cotner of Durant, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Mrs. Dawson was active in The Newcomers Club, The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary and the Wadley Hospital Auxiliary; she was a member of Williams United Methodist Church.

A memorial service was held at Cornerstone Retirement Community Chapel on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at 2 p.m.
