Durant firefighters were dispatched at 5:04 p.m. Tuesday to a rollover crash on Lone Oak Road, north of Highway 70. According to a department report, there were two people in the vehicle and both declined medical treatment from Bryan County EMS.
A faulty water heater was the cause of a small fire at 1055 Lake Durant Road early Monday morning. When firefighters arrived at 5:15, the fire was out.
According to the report, there was no damage from the fire and firefighters left the scene at 6 a.m.
Firefighters responded at 9:08 a.m. Sunday to a vehicle fire at 1023 Grand. When firefighters arrived, the vehicle was heavily engulfed and they put out the fire.
No one was home at the time of the fire and the cause of the fire was not known.
A vacant house in the 700 block of East Main Street burned Saturday. Firefighters were dispatched at 12:25 a.m. and when they arrived two minutes later, flames were coming out of all the windows and doors. They put out the fire and remained on the scene until 2:58 a.m.
The house was unoccupied and did not have utility services, according to the fire department. Durant Fire Marshal Lisa Jackson was contacted to investigate.
