Royce Dan Jones (Martin) was born June 22, 1973, in Oklahoma City, OK to Roy Don Martin and Dorthina Mae (Morrison) and passed from this life on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at the age of 36 years, 11 months and 25 days. He attended school in Checotah, OK and he worked as a welder in heavy industrial construction. He moved to Bryan County in 1994 from Checotah. He was of the Christian faith and he enjoyed swimming, listening to music, spending time with his children, family and friends, playing horseshoes and he greatly loved Harley motorcycles. Royce will be greatly missed by all who knew and dearly loved him.

Royce was preceded in death by his uncles, Jesse Cook and Robert Morrison; and cousin, Kevin Sheffield.

Those loved ones left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Alycia Danielle Jones of Checotah and Briana Renee Jones of Oregon; twin sister, Joyce Ann Jones and husband Tommy Conner of Durant; sisters, Angela Kay (Jones) Ellis and husband Gary of Checotah, Jodi Lynn Prentice and husband Ronald Waldo of Durant, RaMona Mae Jones and husband Tony Whitt of Cartwright and Michelle Peebles of Durant; mother, Dorthina Mae Prentice and husband Joe of Checotah; father, Roy Don Martin of Durant; fiance’, Michelle Armstrong of Durant; and many other relatives and host of dear and loved friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Royce will be held on Monday, June 21st, 11:00 AM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Lee Armstrong will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Tommy Conner, Ronald Waldo, Austin Garrison, Kelly Waller, Colten Armstrong, Jesse Cook, George Howard and Tony Whitt serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday, June 20th from 3-5 PM.
