Charlene Ross, 66, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010, was born October 31, 1943, in Boswell, OK, the daughter of James Pierce and Hazel (Tillery) Pierce and lived in the Boswell community all her life. She married Paul David Ross on June 23, 1962, in Hugo, OK. Charlene and husband, Paul David, owned and operated Boswell Lumber Co. for 19 years. She was later employed as the site manager for the Boswell Nutrition Center. She was a great mother and cook, as well as a wonderful Nana and will be greatly missed.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, her mama that raised her, Granny Lou Pierce; grandson, Josh Hollingsworth; one brother, Kenneth Pierce; in-laws, Paul and Ettie Ross and numerous other dear relatives.

Survivors are: Husband, Paul David Ross of Boswell; two daughters, Jolene Ross Adams and husband Randy of Collinsville, TX and Paula Penz and husband Jeff of Durant, OK; three brothers, James Pierce, Jr. and wife Donna, Rickey Pierce and wife Carol, and Jimmy Pierce and wife Carolyn all of Boswell; sister, Theresa Bernard; brothers in law, Wayne Ross and wife Dawna of Hugo, OK; Mack Ross and wife Peggy of Paris, TX; sister in law, Linda Ross of Fort Worth, TX; one grandson, Derek Penz; two granddaughters, Presli Penz and Jessi Dill; Uncles, Pat Pierce and wife Jo, MD Pierce and wife Mary Jo, Elmer Pierce and wife Martha all of Boswell, and Sam Pierce and wife Pauline of Shawnee, OK; special friends, Eddie and Barbara Anderson of Denison, TX, Margie Manar and Lucille Barkley of Boswell and special cousin, Lana Casey along with many other family and friends whom she loved.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Boswell Cemetery Association.

Funeral services were held at New Life Family Church - Boswell, OK, today at 10 a.m.

Officiating: Bro. Rick Austin and Bro. Jan Lee.

Interment: Restland Cemetery ~ Boswell, OK.
