CALERA - As the moon began to rise, Calera ousted Silo, winning two out of three to advance to regionals.

Silo drew first blood, winning the first game behind the arm of Kinsley Stanley. Tashona Robinson took the loss for Calera.

Megan Hendricks was 4-4 in the win. Torrie Wright and Lauran Ray each had two hits.

Madison Rogers and Amber Burleson contributed two hits for the Lady Bulldogs. Miranda Collett had a hit with an RBI.

Calera 14 Silo 12 (9 innings)

Calera staved off elimination, winning a close one in extras to create a third and final game.

Robinson picked up the win for the Lady Bulldogs. Stanley was the losing pitcher for the Lady Rebels.

Robinson and Ramona Vazquez were each 3-4, with Vazquez driving in two runs. M. Rogers was 4-6 with three runs scored and two doubles.

Stanley was 3-6 for Silo. Rachel Grider, Amanda Price, and Ray each had two hits.

Calera 11 Silo 9 (ten innings)

Calera took the district championship in yet another extra inning game.

Robinson took the win while Stanley took the loss.

M. Rogers and Kirsten Rogers each had three hits, while Collett and Vazquez had two hits and two RBi apiece.

Wright was 3-5 for Silo. Brooke Sanford and Price each had two hits in the loss.
