Patsy Ruth Stevens entered this life on August 21, 1947 in Ft. Worth, TX born to Vernon Jim and Willie Irene (Owen) Lewis and entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 24, 2010 at her home at the age of 63 years, 1 month and 3 days. Patsy attended high school and college and later worked as a hair dresser and barber until her retirement. She moved to Bryan County in March 2007 from Oklahoma City, OK. She was a member of the Oklahoma City China Painters and she enjoyed fishing, china paint, traveling and remodeling. Patsy will be greatly missed by all who knew and dearly loved her.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Irene Lewis. Patsy is survived by her brothers, Charles Lewis of Oregon and Travis Lewis of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Diana Mahan of Willow Springs, MO; sister at heart, Tomi Tatum of Durant, OK; six grandchildren and numerous other relatives and a host of dear and loved friends.

Services to celebrate Patsy’s life will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Mary Garbett will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery with Tom Clifton, Bill Blackburn, Jerry Jones, C.J. Collins, Jay Northcutt and Mike Tidwell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 6-7 p.m.
