Funeral services for Lewis L. “Lou” Newcomb, 67, will be held Monday, October 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, TX with Chaplain David E. Taylor officiating. Family visitation will be Sunday, October 10, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home.

Lou passed away on October 7, 2010, in Denison, TX.

Lou was born to Lois and Faye (Monroe) Newcomb on March 20, 1943. He married Nancy Cundiff on June 21, 2003. He enjoyed classic cars and was in the process of having a streetrod built. He served in the Air Force and was a veteran of Vietnam. He retired from Denton County after twelve years of employment.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Newcomb of Collinsville, TX; his sons, Lewis L. Newcomb, Jr. of Chicago, IL; Thomas Griffin and wife, Catrina, of Aubrey, TX; and daughter, April McDowell, and husband, Mike, of Aubrey, TX; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Faye Newcomb.
