Christine (Phillip) Simes “Tukush”, 86, of Boswell, Ok., passed away October 26, 2012 in Durant, Ok. Christine was born on May 13, 1926 in Boswell, OK, the daughter of Bob Phillip and Ella (Frazier) Phillip and was a lifetime resident of Boswell. Christine married Fleming Fred Simes, Sr. on May 21, 1957 at Goodsprings in Boswell, OK.He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a baby boy; two siblings, Nadine Bobb and Etta Mae Stevens and a great grandson, Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Jr.
Survivors: Two sons, Fred “Sonny” Simes, Jr. and Manuel Simes both of Boswell, OK; daughter, Christine Marie Simes of Colbert, OK; two siblings, Lajuana Phillip of Boswell, OK and Edna Roberts of Bennington, OK; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 29, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the home of Sonny and Tina Simes located three miles west of Goodsprings Cemetery in Boswell, OK.
Funeral services will be held at Goodsprings Presbyterian Church in Boswell, Ok. on October 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
Officiating: Bro. Jim Holt - Sis. Suzie Smith. Interment will be at Goodsprings Cemetery in Boswell, Ok. Arragements are being handled by Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Boswell, Ok.
