Earl Miller a resident of Bokchito, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Plano, Texas at the age of 83 years 3 months and 17 days. He was born in Pitcher, Oklahoma to Charles and Vernetta (Nation) Miller on Monday, July 15, 1929. Earl married Charlotte Lewis in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday, January 20, 1978.
Earl served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Security Guard. Earl was a member of the Family Worship Center in Durant and was an ordained preacher for the Penecostal Church of God. He enjoyed being outside camping and fishing.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Charlotte of the home; son, Charles Miller and wife Vivian of Orangevale, California; daughter, Debra Watkins and husband Lee of Caddo, Oklahoma; daughters, Angela Lee and husband Henry of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Rhonda Ferguson of Dension, Texas and Karen Huckstead of Sherman, Texas; sister-in-law, Cheryl Griffith and husband Gene of Bokchito, Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Jerline Hobbs of Bokchito, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vernetta Miller; sisters, Imagene Gearhart and Dorothy Patrick; twin brother, Leeroy Miller.
Family Hour will be held 7-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Family Worship Center in Durant with Rev. Harold Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Bennington Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Melvin Newberry, Chris Boston, Dillon Huckstead, Thieman Watkins Jr., Justin Griffith and Ralph Carlock.
