Mead resident Leslie Latta is now selling his book “The Four Seasons of Jesus” on Amazon.com and has more to come.

Latta has had a book published in the past, but according to him, this is the first time he knows his work will be sold to the public.

Latta published his first book “The Little Pony” with Publish America last year but had no luck selling his book with the company.

Latta said he got all rights to his book back from the company. Latta said he sent the company his book and was told it would be put in a book fair for approximately $90.

Latta said when he asked about royalties he was told he had not sold any books, despite that he knew people who had bought his book.

This time, Latta is publishing with CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform and selling his books on Amazon.com.

The first book to be put out through the new publisher is “The Four Seasons of Jesus.” This book discusses the four seasons of the year and compares them to the life of Jesus Christ.

In the book, spring represents the birth of Jesus, summer is the life of Jesus, fall is his crucifixion and winter is his resurrection.

Latta said that the book is not based on any specific denominational beliefs or certain version of the Holy Bible.

The book contains no specific bible verses and is of the general Christian beliefs. He said he made the book this way so it can be enjoyed by all Christians without offending their denomination.

Latta said he has been writing on and off his entire life. “I wrote a little bit just for a hobby,” said Latta He began writing seriously about 14 years ago when he wrote “The Little Pony” for his daughter.

Latta’s books are illustrated by his mother Susan. Latta said he hopes that this is the beginning of his career as an author.

Latta plans to publish “The Little Pony” and “Patche’s day out” in the same manner as “The Four Seasons of Jesus” in February of this year.

Latta also plans to make the books available for Kindle and Nook.
