Priscilla Ann (Goodwin) Hitchcock, 69 of Coleman, OK passed away on March 6, 2013 in Denison, TX. She was born on June 18, 1943 in Hopewell, OK to Sam and Glendean (Bliss) Goodwin. Priscilla attended Pampa High School, then married her sweetheart, Robert A. “Tony” Hitchcock on March 18, 1961. She then attended A &I University in Corpus Christi. They eventually moved to Coleman, OK in 1976 from Texas. There she went on to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University and earn a Master’s in Education.
She was a teacher and principal at Olney Public School for 30 years, retiring in 2007. Her love and joy were her grandchildren, and attending their activities. Priscilla was a member of the Folsom Freewill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of many years, Tony Hitchcock of the home, daughter Tammy Cooper and husband Terry of Durant, son Robby Hitchcock and wife Mary of Boswell, granddaughters Whitney Cooper of Lawton and Katey Cooper of Durant, grandson Casey and Caleb Hitchcock of Boswell, granddaughter Shandi Beth Hitchcock of Boswell, brothers; Dural Goodwin of Durant, Ronnie Goodwin and wife Susan of Henderson, TX, and Jerry Goodwin and wife Sharon of Coleman, sisters; Cindy Tadlock and husband Randy of Coleman and Debbie Williams and husband Eddie of Mead, sister in law Janet Baker of Ft. Worth, TX and many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Folsom Freewill Baptist Church. Bro. Earl White and Bro. Rayden Whitmire will be officiating with interment at Highland Cemetery. Family Hour will be Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6-8:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Ronal Collins, Jimmy Tadlock, Floyd Ludlow, Bobby Miles, David Daniel, and Clint Dilbeck. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, OK. Condolences can be sent to www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
