Evelyn “Bellamy” Savage was born on July 10, 1927, in Durant, Oklahoma to Arthur and Mary Bellamy and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 17, 2013 at her home at the age of 85.

Evelyn graduated from Durant High School and later married Loyal E. Savage on February 2, 1948 in Bonham, Texas. Evelyn worked for Kemper Insurance and was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved to quilt and sew but most of all she loved shopping and being retired.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband Loyal Savage; brother A.J. Bellamy; and sister Loretta Hunicutt.

Evelyn is survived by sons Tom Savage and wife Tina of Pine, Colorado, J. Mark Savage and wife Etta of Fairfax, Virginia; daughter Kristy Payne and husband Paul of Blue, Oklahoma; sisters Snooki Watson of Durant, Oklahoma, JoAnn Wesberry of Texas, Wanda McWilliams and husband Hank of Denison, Texas; brother Buddy Bellamy and wife Ruth Ann of Ardmore, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Evelyn will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Highland Cemetery Pavilion. Rev. Norman Ford will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers are Paul Joseph Payne II, Jared Loyal Savage, Nathan Glen Savage, Fred Savage, and Don Savage. Family will receive friends at Brown’s Funeral Service Durant on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Baptist Church.
