Gary Ray Robinson was born on Thursday, January 12, 1956 in Durant, Oklahoma to Bob and Wanda (Hance) Robinson and passed from this life on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 56.
Gary has been a lifelong resident of Bryan County and graduated from Caddo High School and later married Debra Marr on October 11, 1975 in Armstrong and they were blessed with two children Jonda and Scott. Gary owned and operated Southern Cookers in Achille. He was a devoted member of Kemp Baptist Church and the Gideon Organization. He enjoyed building hot rods and old cars and he deeply loved his family and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Wanda Robinson; brother Teddy Wayne Robinson and father in law Bill Marr.
Gary is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 plus years Debbie Robinson of home; beloved children Jonda Lynn and Scott Robinson of home; brothers Roy Lynn Robinson and wife Ann of Mineola, TX and Pat Robinson and wife Donna of Caddo, OK; mother in law Jolly Marr of Achille, OK; brother in law Billy Marr and wife Angelia of Durant, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Kemp Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Speers officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:30-8:00 PM at Kemp Baptist Church.
