Forrest Ray Wright was born on December 26, 1950 in Durant, Oklahoma to Jimmy Arvel and Lou Ella (Norton) Wright and passed away on August 5, 2012 at the age of 61.

Forrest has been a lifelong resident of Durant and attended school in Durant and graduated from Durant High School. He later attended SOSU. He owned and operated his roofing business and was a member of the Wag Fantasy Football League and the Motorcycle Riders Club of America. He was of the Nazarene faith and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, OU Football, being at the lake, concerts and country music. He made the most of everyday and lived life on his own terms.

Forrest was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy and Lou Ella Wright; brother Sgt. Albert Eugene Collins and brother in laws Billy Green and Walter Elzie Weger.

Forrest is survived by his children Candice Dunn and husband Brandon of Calera, OK and Michelle Stewart and husband Chris of Durant, OK; grandchildren Kameron, Morgan and Maggie Dunn of Calera, OK and Haley and Crystal Stewart and Lynsey Wright of Durant, OK; sisters Bernice Weger of Calera, OK, Betty Wagoner and husband James of Mead, OK, Mary Green of Whitesboro, TX and Janie Busbey and husband Charles of Whitesboro, TX and numerous nieces, nephew and many other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 10, 2012 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel with Charles Busbey officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Family Hour will be Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 6-8:00PM. Chris Shannon, Carl Baker, Terry Thomas, Sammy Adams, Armondo Garcia, Jeremy Shannon, and Dustin Stroud will serve as Pallbearers.
