Sammy Clay Shults, 56, of Kenefic, Oklahoma, passed away in an accident Thursday, August 23, 2012 in Durant, Oklahoma.

He was born december 10, 1955 in Newkirk, Oklahoma, and was the son of Wilburn D. and Lottie Loretta Hamby Shults. He attended (OCC) Oklahoma Community College and was a graduate with master honors and lived in Del City before moving to Kenefic, living there for 20 years.

He married Armintta Wix June 3, 1978 in Del City, Oklahoma. He was a Plasma Operator for Roll Offs in Durant for the past 18 years. He was of the Baptist faith and was baptized in the Kenefic Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by his father Wilburn D. Shults of Oklahoma City, wife Armintta Shults of the home, two sons, Matthew Shults of Kenefic and Joshua Shults of Durant, three daughters, Jamie Knight of Durant, Rachael Shults of Durant and Jaden Shults of Kenefic, three grandchildren, Jake Knight, Lila Shults and Zachary Shults, four brothers, James, David, Dean and Jay Shults all of Oklahoma City.

Funeral services for Sammy Shults will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning August 28, 2012 at the Kenefic Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery in Atoka County. There will be no scheduled family night.
