William (Bill) Robert Faulk, 64, of Durant went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 20, 2012 in Durant. He was born September 11, 1948 to Donald Parker and Florence Marilyn (Graham) Faulk. He attended school at Dublin High School and later moved to this area in 1969. He married Marilyn Box on April 5, 1969 in Durant. He served in the Marines from 1969 to 1971 and fought in Vietnam. He received the following awards; Pistol Sharpshooter, Rifle Marksman, and the Good Conduct Medal. He attended college at OSU-Okmulgee and SOSU. He was a plant manager at Wolverine Boot, Inc. and a Deacon at Abundant Life Temple. William enjoyed camping, fishing, fixing anything, loved to serve God and trust him in all things.

He is preceded in death by his father Donald Faulk; father & mother-in-law Jeff and Cora Dell Box; brother-in-law Melvin Box, sister-in-law Nancy Faulk and both sets of grandparents.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Faulk of the home, son Phillip Faulk and wife Keri of Durant, daughter Melanie Faulk-Lehr and husband Richard of Durant, son Kevin Faulk of Norman, mother Florence Faulk of Delaware, OH, brother Larry Faulk and wife Pam of Delaware, OH, sister Donna Mann and husband Steve of Columbus, OH, brother Mark Faulk and wife Cindy of Plain City, OH, brother Jim Faulk and wife Molly of Columbus, OH, brother Ray Faulk and wife Carla of Raymond, OH, 10 grandchildren; Kadence, Dakota, Thomas, Kassidy, Lauren, Alex, Makenna, Malachi, Brennon, Jadelyn, and 2 great grandchildren Gabriel and Kaden.

Funeral Services will be Monday, September 24, 2012 at 10AM at Abundant Life Temple. Rev. Chuck Barrineau, Rev. Roger McCoy and Rev. Randell Drake will be officiating with interment at Highland Cemetery. Family Hour will be on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 4-6:00PM at Brown’s Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Gordon Bruce, Billy Brooks, Kenneth McCalib, Bubby Hart, Gary Hammel, Martin Boyd, Stan Perkins and Randy Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Todd Porter, Phil Haggard, Dan Neal, Leon Hayes, Johnny Rowland, Jim Thorpe, Tommy Rowland and Tom Braudrick. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up an account at Landmark Bank in the name of William Faulk. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’ s Funeral Service in Durant, OK.
