Jerry E. Coxsey a resident of Mead, Oklahoma passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the age of 73 years 3 months and 19 days. He was born in Durant, Oklahoma on June 22, 1939 to Arliss Earnest and Ernestine E. (Trout) Coxey. Jerry married Sally Rhea in Durant, Oklahoma on Thursday, February 14, 1980.
Jerry lived most of his life in Southeastern Oklahoma. He was a retired Antiques Auctioneer. Jerry served his county in the Army Reserves.
Mr. Coxsey is survived by his wife, Sally of the home; brother, Phil Coxsey and wife Margie of Mead, Oklahoma; brothers-in-law, John Nunnally and wife Priscilla of Caddo, Oklahoma and Dennis Nunnally of Silo, Oklahoma; daughters, Nancy Abramson of Houston, Texas, Carmilee McCarthy of Rixeyville, Virginia and Melaney Jones Brown of Arlington, Texas; sons, Jerry S. Coxey of Warrenton, Virginia, Shawn Coxsey of Phoenix, Arizona and Matthew Coxsey of Fall Church, Virginia; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Mr. Coxsey was preceded in death by his parents, Arliss and Ernestine Coxsey.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Mead Baptist Church in Mead, Oklahoma with Rev. Kerry Groce officiating.
