Charles David Sands, 58, of Cartwright passed away October 29, 2012 in Mead, OK. He was born on December 20, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas to Lee Roy and Dorothy Joan (Cecil) Sands. He graduated from Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, OK. He married Patricia Freeman on June 10, 1986. He lived in Bryan County for the last 15 years of his life and was a truck driver. Charles David was of the Baptist faith and loved horses, motorcycles, trucks, and spending time with his family and grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Robert Lee Sands, grandson William Harris, granddaughter Cheyenne Harris, uncle Albert Sands, nephew Clifford Roy Garvin, and step mother Eula Sands.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Sands, daughters; Brandy Conejo Subias and husband Tony, Sharree Harris and husband Jody, and Alicia Sands, sister; Barbara and husband Dr. David Garvin, grandchildren; Alexia and Justin Hilberd, Marshall Harris, Shana and Cheyenne Lewis, niece Lashawnda Glenn and husband Nathan, great niece Nataleigh Glenn, numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be Saturday, November3, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Denison, TX. Bro. Earl Oglesbee will be officiating with interment at Fairview Cemetery in Denison, TX. Family Hour will be Friday, November 2, 2012 from 5-7:00 pm at Brown’s Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Bobby Tillery, Andrew McCarville, Clyde Lafoon, Cody Horn, Martin Oglesbee and Matthew Glenn. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, OK.
