Charles Dale Robinson, age 79, of Calera, OK passed away peacefully at his home in Calera on Sunday, January 27, 2013, surrounded by his family.
Dale was born in Hendrix, OK. to James Mitchell & Callie Anderson Robinson on October 23, 1933.
He married Glenda (Tootsie) Lee on January 2, 1959 in Calera, OK.
Dale was a carpenter, worked in construction and loved gardening, dominoes, and always full of humor. He loved life and all his family, including extended family members. He was a lifetime resident of this area and member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Denison, TX.
Dale was honorably discharged from the US Army in 1957.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda (Tootsie) and son Loren Randall Robinson of Calera.
He leaves one sister, Alice Dollar and husband Doug of Achille, OK and one brother, Merwin Robinson & wife CoiEtta of Hendrix. OK. Also, many nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell & Callie Robinson, 1 sister, Mildred Hutchings, 1 brother, Jimmie Robinson. 1 niece, Lynetta Heflin and 1 nephew, Eddie Robinson.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the American Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Brother Tom Patzer. The eulogy will be given by Gene Lee and a prayer by the Hospice Chaplain J. B. Batman. Dale’s niece, Michelle Dollar Williams will provide the special music.
A family visitation will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home in Colbert.
Pallbearers serving will be Rick Roberson, Sam Roberson, Derian McKinney, Ronnie Gould, Brandon Gould, Brandon Williams, Braiden Williams, Dakota Robinson.
Honorary bearers will be Joe Wakefield, Brandon Polson, Earl Wakefield, Jeremy Polson.
Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera, OK.
