Durant Employee of the Month

The City of Durant is pleased to announce our Employee Spotlight for February 2024.

Taylor Davis has worked for the City of Durant in Code Enforcement since 2022.

Davis is a Bryan County native, and what he likes most about the job is being able to see a positive impact through the work of his team. “I like being involved in my hometown community,” he said. Since day one, Davis has been an outstanding employee.

“Taylor Davis to me personally is the perfect employee. The position of code officer is a very unrewarding job, yet he shows up on time every morning and gets right to it,” said Building Inspector/Code Supervisor Paul Cottrell. “His ability to communicate and de-escalate situations is second to none. From day one, he has surpassed every obstacle in his path and has exceeded every expectation I had of him.”

One piece of information Davis would like to share with Durant citizens is this: “The City of Durant offers free extra hauling once a month on the first Wednesday of each month,” said Davis. “As spring approaches, this is a great opportunity to remove limbs, leaves, clippings and any other unwanted trash/debris.”

After hours, Davis devotes most of his time to his fiancée, their two dogs, and their cat. He also enjoys playing video games and being with family.
