Cleo Vails, of Durant, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on September 27, 1938, to Jesse James and Pearl (Manners) Buttram, Cleo married Connie Gene Vails on June 4, 1955 in Durant, Oklahoma.

William H. Rogers entered this life on July 1, 1939, in El Paso, Texas to parents Bethel Henry and Henrietta Fanny (Taylor) Rogers. William entered the Gates of Heaven on Thursday April 11, 2024, in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 84. William graduated from Ysleta High School and Kiamichi Vo Tech EMT program in Durant, Oklahoma. He proudly served his Country in the United States Navy and later in the United States Army in the Vietnam Conflict and retired in 1971 after 21 years of service. He married Patrecia Ann Hampton on November 1, 2007, in Antlers, Oklahoma and they have been blessed with 16 years of marriage. He worked as a mechanic specializing in watercraft engines, EMT for Marshall County, Fire Chief for Lake Texoma, 1st Responder for Marshall County, and was a mechanic for Clyde Beatty Circus.

James Rich, of Bokchito, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on June 22, 1942, in Bryan County, Oklahoma, James was a lifelong resident who cherished the land and its people. He breathed his last surrounded by the love of his family in his hometown of Bokchito, Oklahoma.

Delana Mae Wingo Delana Mae Wingo passed away Sunday, March 31st, 2024 at her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 86. Delana was born April 3rd, 1937 in Bennington, Oklahoma to James Trammell and Irene (Forbes) Trammell.

Verlin Harvey “Herb” Manning was born on August 26, 1941 and passed from this earthly life peacefully at the age of 82 on March 23, 2024 in Durant, Oklahoma. Verlin was born in Washington, Indiana to Harvey and Orvada Manning. He was affectionately given his nickname of “Herb” by his older brother at a very young age. This nickname stuck and most people only know him as Herb even to this day.

Monte Cloyd Horner of Bokchito and Bennington, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at his home in Bokchito. Monte was born on January 30, 1952, in Dallas, Texas to parents Imogene and Curt Horner. He married Brenda Grace Payne on August 16, 1974, and they have been truly blessed with almost 50 years of marriage. Monte was a rancher from an early age and continued to take care of his land and cattle to the very end. He loved being around people telling jokes, which usually ended up being a long story. He deeply loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
