A fresh coat of paint brightens any room, and this summer Boys & Girls Clubs in Ardmore, Durant, and Eagletown will refresh their learning environment with 20 gallons of donated paint at each location, a total of 60 gallons of paint.
For the third year, Boys & Girls Club has been selected as the winner for a paint grant through Durant True Value Lumber Company’s partnership with True Value Foundation’s Painting a Brighter Future program.
A True Value Foundation paint grant helps improve learning environments and can have an impact on youth attitudes and performance. Over 2,600 schools and youth-development focused organizations across the country have been awarded paint since the program’s inception in 2009, covering over 27 million square feet of learning space.
Partnering with True Value Foundation, Durant True Value Lumber Company nominated Ardmore, Durant, and Eagletown Boys & Girls Clubs for a total of 60-gallons of paint grant to help refresh youth learning spaces. Store Manager, Dave Nankivil, has been instrumental in our store being awarded this paint grant three consecutive years. Mike Ridgway and Dave Nankivil of Durant Lumber Company delivered the high quality EasyCare paint to Durant’s Boys & Girl’s Club located at 415 N. 5th Avenue, Durant. Paint will be distributed to Ardmore and Eagletown from there.
The Boys & Girls Club is using the donated paint on classrooms and hallways of their facilities from a year’s wear from student use. A combination of over 1500 youth at the Ardmore, Durant, and Eagletown facilities will enjoy their newly refreshed facilities.
