Thirteen Practical Nursing students graduated from Kiamichi Tech - Durant on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
According to the program director, Shelly Swalley, Practical Nursing graduates complete 1,508 hours of class time and clinical hours. Students in full-time programs attend classes Monday – Friday for 11 months and must pass a rigorous exam in order to graduate.
“The nursing profession is growing faster than other industries,” said Swalley. “The need for highlytrained nurses continues to grow throughout Oklahoma and the United States. Our graduates are prepared to fill the essential gap in an evolving workforce.”
