Andrea Ramos, an eighth-grader at Colbert Middle School, took second place in the sixth-through eighth-grade division of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s annual Trash Poster Contest.
Her picture, “Oklahoma Native Land Keep Our Land Clean” will be featured for the month of March in the TPC 2026 calendar. Her teacher is Judy Stephens.
Rilyn Teafatiller, a 10th-grader at Calera High School, won third place in the ninth- through 12th-grade division. with her artwork titled, “Keep Oklahoma Clean.”
Her picture will be featured for the month of May in next year’s calendar. Her teacher is Jeana Holt.
State Rep. Cody Maynard was able to recognize both of them in the House recently.
“Congratulations to both of these students and their teachers,” Maynard said. “Fantastic job.“
