Awards presented at Main Street Gala

The Durant Main Street Met Gala was a festive event with many awards presented.

It was held last Saturday at the Bell Tower Event Center and Durant Main Street said the event blended glamour with purpose, supported the preservation of the historic district while offering an unforgettable experience.

“The Met Gala isn’t just a night of fashion and fun — it’s a cornerstone of Durant Main Street’s fundraising efforts,” Durant Main Street said, in a social media post. “Your attendance and support help us maintain our historic charm, uplift local businesses, and drive economic vitality in our district. Every ticket purchased and sponsorship secured makes a lasting impact on our community’s future.”

The following businesses and individual received awards: - Best Interior Design, Bad N Boujee Boutique - Best Window and Curb Appeal, Integration Station - Main Street Hero, Cardinal Glass - Volunteer of the Year, Krysten Brown - Community Partner of the Year, Simmons Bank - Business of the Year, The Owen Academy - Board Member of the Year, Shawna Dewald - Legacy Award, Marie’s, for being in business in family ownership for 47 years - Best Dressed Award and Best Costume, Haus of Crow - Best Choreographed Walk, The Payton Project - Best Community Representation, The Payton Project - Overall Favorite, The Owen Academy - Best Dressed Guest, Maddison Williams Main Street director Stephanie Swicker thanked everyone who made the event happen and she said there were more than 1,700 votes cast for the Main Street awards.

In a social media post after the event, Main Street said, “What an unforgettable night. Thank you to everyone who made the 2025 Durant Main Street Met Gala such a success — from our incredible sponsors to every guest who showed up in style to support our historic district.”

The next Durant Main Street Met Gala is set for May 2, 2026, at Lost Street Brewing Co.

“We can’t wait to do it all again,” Main Street said.
