Brecheen discusses ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’

U.S. Representative Josh Brecheen had a town hall meeting at the Bryan County Community Building Aug. 28 and he spoke about the recent passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill.”

Brecheen showed large display cards that outlined parts of the bill as he spoke and he also answered questions.

According to Brecheen, allowing the largest tax increase in history to occur on Jan. 1, 2026, was not an option. He said the national debt is currently about $32 trillion and that every man, woman and newborn child in the U.S. now owes $96,000 as their share of the national debt.

“The One Big Beautiful Bill is the principal legislative vehicle for the America First agenda by reining in Washington’s out-of-control spending; rooting out waste, fraud and abuse; unleashing economic growth; and taking a meaningful first step to restore the fiscal health of our country, helping make America safe, strong and prosperous again,” according to Brecheen.

Brecheen encourages anyone who has an idea on how the federal government can be more effective and efficient to contact his office in Washington D.C., (202) 225-2701 or the Claremore District Office, (918) 283-6262 or email through his website, brecheen. house.gov/contact.
