Carver benefit

Matt Swearengin | Durant Democrat A benefit dinner for Eve and Connor Carver hosted by VFC Foundation was held recently at the Durant Elks Lodge. Eve, fifth from left, is a devoted mother, veteran, and wellness advocate who has overcome unimaginable odds. Her son, Connor, is a brilliant young man with autism and a serious heart condition that will soon require open-heart surgery. As Eve also faces a likely recurrence of a brain tumor, they are working hard to rebuild their lives—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
