Durant City Council in a recent meeting approved financing for two trash trucks for the Solid Waste Collection Department.
The financing is for $560,267.70 from American National Bank.
Mayor Martin Tucker, Vice Mayor Mike Simulescu and council members Lauran Fuller and Danny Sherrer also approved $216,400 in financing from American National Bank for two trailers for the Solid Waste Disposal Department.
The council also voted on the following agenda items: - Voted to re-bid city for the former Senior Citizens Center at 301 N. 16th Ave. without a minimum bid.
- Approved the installation of lights at Dixon Durant Park by Palco Supply at a cost of $49,976.51.
- Approved the installation of lights at Carl Albert Park by Palco Supply in the amount of $49,911.54.
- Approved renewal invoices from Oklahoma Municipal Assurance Group (OMAG) for property insurance in the amount of $192,233.00 and general liability auto and equipment in the amount of $251,604.00 for the 2024 calendar year.
