Congressional candidate Brandon Wade visits Durant

Candidate Brandon Wade speaks during a recent dinner at Roma Italian Restaurant in Durant, telling attendees about his values, background, and stance on campaign issues. Wade is the Democratic candidate for U.S. Representative from CD2, opposing current Rep. Josh Brecheen. Wade noted that he is a strong supporter of public schools and does not advocate spending taxpayer money on private schools. He said he is a proud Union member who believes all American workers “deserve a fair, livable wage,” and supports a woman’s right to choose her own health care. Wade opposes the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, the 900page blueprint for a far-right-wing Republican administration should former President Donald Trump be elected in November. His appearance and the dinner were jointly sponsored by the Bryan County Democratic Party and the Bryan County Federation of Democratic Women. Photo provided
