A Durant man was injured in a rollover crash Monday on Highway 70 west of Soper in Choctaw County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Forty-one-year-old Marcus S. Cole was driving westbound at about 2 p.m. when his vehicle departed the roadway to the right and struck a driveway embankment/culvert. The vehicle overturned one time and then caught fire. The report stated that Cole was “apparently sleepy.”
The extent of his injuries were not revealed in the report and he was wearing a seat belt.
In other accidents, A pedestrian was injured Sept. 9 at mile marker 10 on Highway 69/75, according to OHP.
Twenty-two-year old Alejandro Honorato-Calderon of Plano, Texas, was struck by a northbound vehicle at approximately 5:30 p.m. when he ran into traffic, OHP said.
The driver of the vehicle, 40-year-old David D. Davis Jr. of Durant, was not injured.
