When they arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames and the roof had collapsed, according to the report. Firefighters used defensive tactics to control the house fire and also multiple rubbish fires around the home. They continued assisting Calera until being released from the scene about two hours and 20 minutes later.

Indian Nation Wholesale, 230 S. 22nd Ave., was evacuated on Feb. 24 due to an odor of natural gas, according to the fire department. When firefighters arrived at 8:10 a.m., a company safety coordinator led firefighters to an employee entrance where there is a gas meter that supplies the kitchen area.

The entrance was the only area that a gas odor was detected and firefighters used a gas monitor while walking through the building and natural gas was not detected. Oklahoma Natural Gas arrived and firefighters briefed them before returning to the station.
