Lost Street Brewing Co. Wins Award at 2025 World Beer Cup

Lost Street Brewing Co was awarded a Gold in the 2025 World Beer Cup, the most prestigious beer competition in the world.

The award ceremony took place on May 1, 2025, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, where awards were given in 112 style categories, including five cider categories.

Lost Street Brewing Co. was awarded a gold award in the Scottish-Style Ale beer style category for its Stoneykirk Scottish Ale.

“Our Scottish ale is a malt-forward beer with a caramel backbone. Our family history dates back to Stoneykirk, Scotland, around the year 1211. We pay tribute to our ancestors with this classic style Scottish ale,” said Scott Dewald, owner of Lost Street Brewing Co.

“We have always thought Stoneykirk was something special, and this award just confirms what our community has been telling us for years. Our brewers, Drew and David, have mastered this style, and I couldn’t be happier for them. It’s a big moment for our brewery, and it means the world to see their hard work recognized on a global stage.”

The World Beer Cup, hailed as the “Olympics of Beer,” crowns the globe’s brewing elite. This year, an international group of 265 discerning beer judges, hailing from 37 countries, undertook the monumental task of evaluating 8,375 entries from 1761 breweries across 49 countries. The World Beer Cup competition, established by the Brewers Association in 1996, remains the pinnacle of brewing achievement and celebrates the art and science of brewing.
