Magnolia Festival continues through Saturday

The Magnolia Festival continues Friday and Saturday at the Choctaw Event Center with numerous events that the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce says will make a great fun-filled family weekend.

Honoring the heritage of Durant, also known as the “City of Magnolias,” the annual Magnolia Festival has been held annually since 1997.

Friday

5-11 p.m. Cardinal FG presents Mitchell’s amusement carnival.

6-7 p.m. Head-To-Toe Dance Studio on the Cherokee Communications stage.

7:30 p.m. PRCA Rodeo at Durant Riding Club Arena.

Saturday

8 a.m.-1 p.m. Magnolia Farmers Market at Market Square.

8 a.m. Magnolia run 5K and one mile fun run downtown Durant.

8 a.m. Rotary Magnolia bike ride 950 Gerlach Drive.

10 a.m.-9 p.m. vendor booths and food truck city opens.

10 a.m.-12 p.m. butterfly craft and seed planting children’s activities and free giveaways by Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.

11 a.m. turtle races. 12-11 p.m. Mitchell’s amusement carnival.

12-2 p.m. Shawnda Rains Entertainment Group on the Cherokee Communications stage.

1 p.m. cinema at the center showing Princess and the Frog at Choctaw Cultural Center.

4-5:30 p.m. live music featuring Victoria Lemons.

6-7:30 p.m. live music featuring Zach Ray.

7:30 p.m. PRCA rodeo at Durant Riding Club Arena.
