The 2025 Mighty Moms Autism Conference was held last Saturday at The Gordon Center in Durant.
Organized by the Mighty Moms Podcast co-hosts Dedra Gallegos and Brina Dutton, both mothers of children on the autism spectrum, the event aimed to provide education, resources, and community support for parents, caregivers, and educators.
There were more than 100 in attendance.
“The conference featured 12 guest speakers from across the Texoma region, including educators, professionals, and experienced parents, who shared insights and strategies for supporting individuals on the autism spectrum,” Dutton said. “Topics covered included early intervention, inclusive education, community advocacy and heartfelt testimonials from other moms from the community.“ In addition to the speaker sessions, attendees had access to various resources and networking opportuni- ties, fostering connections among families and professionals dedicated to autism support. The event underscored the importance of community collaboration in promoting awareness and inclusion for individuals with autism.
