The Choctaw Cultural Center has been named to the list of Top 10 Indigenous Experiences of 2025 by the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association (AIANTA).
The Choctaw Cultural Center creates an immersive experience from the moment guests drive through one of the largest intact prairies on the Choctaw Reservation. Tours are conducted through exhibitions where guests interact with 14,000 years of Choctaw history and culture. During its first three years, the Center’s team has created engaging educational books and children’s magazines. It has established classes, programs, workshops, events, and activities celebrating Choctaw culture, traditions, and core values.
Last fall, the Center was also named the Best Cultural Heritage Experience at AIANTA’s annual American Indigenous Tourism Conference.
AIANTA reports that American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian-owned hospitality businesses contribute $15.7 billion in annual sales to U.S. tourism.
