Construction of the new Durant High School agriculture education building is wrapping up and it is expected to be ready for use early next semester, according to a report presented by Mid-Plains Construction at a recent Durant Board of Education meeting.
Work has been ongoing on underground utilities that are almost finished.
Sidewalks are being completed and on the inside, electrical and plumbing work is being wrapped up.
The building is expected to be finished a the end of January and be ready for classes sometime next semester.
“It’s a wonderful project,” said school board member Janie Umsted.
