Parenting classes to be offered by Bryan County OSU Extension Service

A parenting class geared for parents with infants and toddlers, “Active Parenting First Five Years,” will be offered on Wednesdays, October 9 & 16, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Parents will need to attend both days. The four sessions will cover important topics including the stages of development, parenting skills, discipline, temperament, mindfulness, brain development, self-calming and school readiness. A basic infant care classes are available for expecting parents and new parents by request.

A parenting class geared for parents with school aged children, “Active Parenting,” will be held on Wednesdays, October 9 & 16, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Parents will need to attend both days. This research-based program will help parents develop cooperation, responsibility and selfesteem in their children.

All classes will be held at the Bryan County OSU Extension Office, Durant.
