PET OF THE WEEK

Poppit is the Durant Animal Shelter’s Pet of the Week. He and his brother were dumped in a local park and a good Samaritan brought them into the police station and Dispatchers watched out for them until animal control officers could bring them to the shelter. Poppit’s brother didn’t make it, but Poppit is alive and kicking. He is a small chatty fellow but very friendly. If you find animals dumped or running loose, please call for Animal Control assistance. Don’t pick them up or bring them home. You may be exposing yourself, your family and your home to any number of pests or diseases beyond the risk of getting bitten. For information about available pets, call the Durant Animal Shelter, 924-3737 option 3.
