In celebration of this year’s upcoming Earth Day, all interested individuals in Southeastern Oklahoma are invited to submit projects to the 2024 Sustainability Research Fair. All ages in southeastern Oklahoma are invited.
The submission deadline is April 13, 2024.
First-place winners of each age category will earn $100.
The goal of the Sustainability Research Fair is to encourage awareness of human impact on our planet and explore innovative and sustainable solutions that lead to viable, positive outcomes for all. Participation details, including examples of potential project topics, are provided at www.durantgreenschool.com or by following the QR Code.
Winners will be announced at the upcoming Earth Day Festival on April 20 at Carl Albert Memorial Park in Durant.
The Sustainability Research Fair is being facilitated by the Durant Green School Program (DGSP) in collaboration with the Durant Sustainability Coalition. The DGSP is a program focused on environmental education within the Durant Independent School District, founded in 2016.
