Stuteville appointed commissioner of Oklahoma Transportation Commission

Oklahoma Department of Transportation Executive Director Tim Gatz and commissioners of the Oklahoma Transportation Commission welcomed recently appointed District 2 Commissioner Eric Stuteville. A Durant native with a distinguished career in the automotive business, he represents the nine district counties of Southeastern Oklahoma. Commissioner Stuteville replaces James Grimsley who vacated the position in October having served since May 2019. Stuteville has been in the automotive business for more than 24 years. He is currently the owner and founder of The Stuteville Automotive Group which spans locations all across the eastern half of Oklahoma.

He has served for 14 years as chairman and commissioner on the Oklahoma New Motor Vehicle Commission. He is a member and past chairman of the Oklahoma Auto Dealers Association and past chairman of the Oklahoma Auto Dealers Self Insurance Association.

He currently serves on the General Motors National Minority Dealer Advisory Council. He is currently the president of the Texoma Chevy Dealer Group and vice chairman of the Oklahoma Ford Advertising Fund.

He is also currently president of the West Durant Merchants Association.

Stuteville was born and raised in Durant and is a member of the Choctaw Nation. He is a graduate of Durant High School and a former student of Southeastern Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma.
