Jonah, kneel in prayer!

We noticed in our previous article that Jonah waited a LONG time before he finally humbled himself enough to pray. What is so interesting to me about that is the kind of prayer he offers after that long wait.

Southeastern Oklahoma State University has established a Magnolia Preservation and Tree Renewal Plan to ensure the preservation of The Campus of a Thousand Magnolias for generations to come.

The Bryan County Turning Point Coalition had a ribbon cutting recently after joining the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce.

Fathers in Action has community event

Fathers in Action, a program to help fathers in interactions with their children, had an end of summer bash last Saturday at Youth Services of Bryan County. The event included hot dogs, music, bounce houses and other activities.

Durant Police investigating shootings

The Durant Police Department responded to shooting incidents earlier this week involving suspects on foot and in vehicles, the department said Monday.
