Medical student returns to Durant for rural externship

Bailee Arthur, a secondyear medical student at OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation, has returned to her hometown for a clinical externship at the Durant Residency Clinic, aspart of the school’s Rural Track Program.

High school aviation lab takes flight

Durant High School had an open house July 31 for the take-off of their new aviation lab where they will build an airplane while preparing students for a future in aviation.

First United has Splash for School Supplies

Durant First United Bank had a splash for school supplies Aug. 1 and for five bucks, water balloons were hurled at loan operations staff members.
