The Durant Board of Education met in executive session during a meeting last week to evaluate and discuss the superintendent’s contract for the term beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2027.

Since the 1990s, Oklahoma’s top personal income-tax rate has been cut from 7 percent to 4.75 percent. That’s a good start, but it doesn’t mean Oklahoma is a national leader. Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis governor visits Durant Kiwanis Club

Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis Governor Bob Quinton visited the Durant Kiwanis Club, the second largest club in Oklahoma. Gov. Quinton shared several goals for District 8 Kiwanis clubs during his tenure as governor. The governor’s theme concerns children, “Making Their World a Better Place.”
