The 15th annual Colton’s Main Street Run last Saturday was a success and organizers said there were 1,354 runners. The run has been held since 2010 in memory of Colton Sherrill, son of Trace and Dena Sherrill.

Construction began recently on a pedestrian bridge over Chuckwa Creek off North First Avenue that is the culmination of an eight-year project. Durant City Council in an April meeting awarded a 1,375,563.
