Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop E troopers were presented Troop Commander Awards during a meeting last week at the Troop E Headquarters in Durant. Trooper Seth Leyba received Overall Top Impaired Driving Enforcement for taking more than 80 impaired drivers off of the roadways.

Elderly woman killed in wrong-way crash

An elderly woman died after a head-on crash after driving the wrong way on Highway 69/75, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. Eighty-four-year-old Saba Braswell of Terrell, Texas, was taken by Bryan County EMS to Texoma Medical Center after the 2:38 a.m.

Dr. Catalin Dima, assistant professor of piano at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, will perform a piano recital featuring the work of six composers on Tuesday, February 13. This recital was originally scheduled for January, but was postponed during winter weather closures.
